Ohio Division of Wildlife

The Ohio Division of Wildlife makes efforts to provide enhanced access for persons with mobility impairments to interior areas of state wildlife areas while limiting disturbance to other hunters and minimizing negative impacts to wildlife habitat. All Purpose Vehicle (APV) Use Permit holders are exempt from the prohibition of discharging a firearm from in or on their vehicle while using the designated access roads on Division of Wildlife properties. In addition to a car or truck, the permit will allow use of All Purpose Vehicles (APVs) on these designated access roads for permit holders.

1. Bear Creek Ranch KOA


Located in East Sparta, Bear Creek is open year-round and offers 26 miles of marked trails on 180 acres with 250 Ft. hill climb, woods and creeks. 2. Renegade Ridge


If you're near Bloomingdale OH, Renegade Ridge has 15+ miles of marked trails ranging from "easy" to "hard" to accommodate riders of all skill levels and experience.

3. Doug Dunaway Memorial Motocross Park


"The Doug" is owned and operated by the City of Harrison and is free to the public. It has a 1.2-mile-long track of natural terrain as well as a separate beginner track. This park does not have its own website, but you can visit the Facebook group for more information.

4. Maumee State Forest


Maumee State Forest is in Swanton has 7 miles of trail that is mainly flat terrain which makes it great for beginners and is also free to the public. For more information on Maumee visit their website here.


5. Tecumseh Trails


Located in Hemlock, Tecumseh Trails has 45+ miles of trails over 1,000+ acres, including a wide variety of terrain. They have a marked trail and rating system to make their trails welcome to riders of all skill levels. 

6. Pike State Forest 


If you're near Latham, Pike State Forest offers approximately 20 miles of trails including a novice and experienced area offering a variety of terrain. Pike Forest is also free to the public. 

7. Pine Lakes Raceway and Trails


Pine Lakes has been in Jefferson, Ohio since 1969. They have a racetrack, classic off-road trails, as well as a motocross track and an obstacle course. 8. Sandusky Valley Riders


Established in 1928, Sandusky Valley Riders has built a place for riders of all skill levels. With 40 acres of trails and a 1.3-mile-long motocross track. SVR is open year round.

9. Walhounding Hills Campground


Walhounding Hills has over 60 acres of space for ATV and off road riding. They offer groomed trails for beginners and hill climbs for the more experienced riders. 

10. Bagley's ATV Campground

Located in New Straitsville, with direct access to the Wayne National Forest ATV trail system, Bagley's is a prime destination for off road enthusiasts. Bagley's has 75 miles of trails designated for ATVs and has trails for novices and experts.
